1. Oats Idli
Ingredients:
- 1 oats (powdered) cup
- 1 cup low-fat curd
- 1 carrot grated
- 1 tsp of mustard seeds
- 1tsp urad dal
- 1 chopped green chilli
- 5-6 leaves of curry
- To taste salt
- 1 teaspoon fruit salt or Eno fruit or baking soda
Preparation:
- Roast oats dry and powedr.
- Mix oats powder, curd, grated carrot and salt in a bowl.
- Insert a dissolving of green chili, urad dal, mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- Add Eno, immediately before steaming, and stir up.
- Fill well-oiled idli moulds and steam I0 12 mins.
2. Upma made with vegetable Ragi
Ingredients:
- 11/2 cups ragi flour
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 chopped small carrot
- 1 tsp of mustard seeds
- 1 tsp chana dal
- 1 green chili (chopped)
- A handful curry leaves
- Required salt and water
Preparation:
- Take ragi flour with water in a bowl to prepare a batter that is lump-free.
- Fry mustard seed, chana dal, curry leaves, chili, onion and carrot in hot oil.
- Add ragi batter to it and keep on stirring till cooked on the low flame.
- Serve warm.
